"Convenience Teens"The Buzz from the Remote Control GenerationTeens are multicultural, multimedia, multi-channel. Few are accustomed to home-cooked breakfasts or family dinners. They prowl for ready-to-eat food in every convenient location. Tech savvy, with change as a constant, they are beginning to develop shopping preferences and habits. Over 20 million teens (16-20) are of driving age - but not yet legal drinking age. They have discretionary income - from parents and from their jobs. Because they visit frequently, their value as customers is equal to - or could be greater - than other customer segments. Listen to what Convenience Teens have to say - - -
About Health"Healthier choices when deciding against empty calories or not" "More prepared vegetarian food items" "Have more healthy products (health snacks, diet bars, low fat/low carb items) like the supermarkets" "More healthy snacks. Not so much gimmick stuff, like Atkins or low carb. That crap doesn't work forever. I mean true healthy snacks like hummus or gazpacho, etc. I like that they have bananas and other produce. I say mix it up and add it to the menu"
About Loyalty Programs"I want a car wash loyalty program!!!!" "I'd like to have free fountain drinks with a customer rewards card" "Give me an incentive for gas fill ups/ with every 8 gallon purchases you can collect orioles tickets or a free something like a bracketed reward program/ Big spenders in gas get a nice percentage removed from their bill of in store items. This would bring me from across town or ten minutes away to fill up at your station"
